My favorite part about Jonathan and Marla’s wedding day happened when the rush slowed. When no one else was around to witness except me silently clicking away behind the camera, when Jonathan gently took Marla’s hand and they walked and they breathed in the morning air and Jonathan quietly spoke words of comfort and affirmation to Marla and to the work they had done together. To watch Marla visibly relax under his care had me going “YES” silently. Because it’s one thing to celebrate a wedding day with a couple, and it’s another thing to simultaneously celebrate the life that they will share afterwards.
Jonathan, you just keep speaking those words of affirmation, and Marla, you keep listening and you both will do just fine.
This wedding day was filled with lots of friends and family, jokes about farming, milk and cookies, and stories shared. Touches of yellow and lace and grays were at once elegant and relaxed. Enjoy this peek into their day below.
